Mission
The mission of the Department of Food Engineering is to train qualified food engineers who have the knowledge and skills to design, develop, and manufacture production and distribution systems that will benefit humanity by transforming food raw materials into safe and high-quality foods by knowing the conditions of their country and the world at the most efficient level.
Vision

Key Focus Areas of This Vision: Sustainability and Climate Resilience: Focusing on green production processes that implement zero-waste principles and enhance water and energy efficiency. Leading the development of climate-resilient new food systems, such as alternative protein sources and vertical farming. Digital Transformation and Smart Food: Utilizing Industry 4.0 tools (Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and big data analytics) in food production, supply chain management, and quality control. Creating personalized, traceable, and transparent smart food systems tailored to individual consumer needs. Food Safety and Health: Developing advanced diagnostic and analysis technologies that minimize the risks of foodborne illnesses. Launching healthy food products that have enhanced nutritional value, enriched functional properties, and optimized processing. Education and Ethical Leadership: Educating graduates as solution-oriented leaders who will shape the future of the food industry, equipped with both technical knowledge and a strong sense of ethical responsibility. Conducting research that increases public awareness on food ethics, food justice, and consumer rights.
